Joseph Hung

Joseph completed his B.Sc. (Computer Science, Physics and Mathematics, with a focus in Artificial Intelligence) at the University of Toronto, and is currently a graduate student in the group of Prof. Kimberly Strong. He has previously spent time working in machine learning R&D labs in industry, as well as a summer research position funded by the NSERC CREATE program Technologies for Exo-Planetary Science (TEPS).

Joseph’s current research involves the analysis of data collected by a Fourier transform Infrared Spectrometer, the E-AERI , which measures downwelling atmospheric infrared radiances. In particular, he is investigating the impact of the presence and properties of clouds have on the climatology of the region, as well as radiative properties of various cloud constituents.
