The Cloud Physics and Severe Weather Research Section (ARMP) of Environment Canada (EC) deployed three instruments to ØPAL in the summer of 2007. They are the EC Precipitation Occurrence Sensor System (POSS), the OTT Parsivel optical disdrometer, and the Vaisala PWD22 visibility and present weather sensor.
